My name is Marley!

This dog recently came into my care after his previous owner passed away. He has experienced a major life change and may be dealing with separation anxiety and grief while adjusting to a new environment.
He was recently neutered, and is currently going through a post-neuter hormonal adjustment period. Because of this, he has been displaying temporary hormonally driven behaviors such as humping and overexcitement. He is otherwise friendly and social with other dogs, but my resident dog is not tolerant of this behavior, making the match in my home unsuccessful.
With time, structure, and continued recovery from his neuter, these behaviors are expected to improve significantly. He would do well with an understanding, patient adopter who can provide consistency, calm leadership, and allow him time to fully settle.
He is affectionate with people and enjoys companionship. This decision was made thoughtfully, with his well-being and long-term success as the priority.
