Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Age: 2.5 years old Located in a foster home in NJ
Weight: 40 lbs
Vet Record: 100% vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, female
Sweet May is looking for her forever human!
May walks beautifully on a leash, has no prey drive, and is an absolute pleasure to walk. She’s the perfect walking buddy, and she doesn’t need tons of exercise to be happy. May is house-trained, not a barker, and sleeps well through the night. She gets along well with both dogs and cats, though she’s not very interested in playing with other dogs. When she’s happy, she turns into a little dancer: her whole body wiggles, and her curled tail joins the show!
May is smart and independent. She won’t bother you if you’re busy and will patiently wait for her turn to go on a walk. She’s calm, gentle, and a bit on the timid side. She doesn’t handle change easily, so she needs a patient person who will give her time to settle in and feel comfortable.
May is currently in a foster home in New Jersey, where she lives peacefully with two dogs and two cats. We believe she’ll do best in a home with a fenced yard and another friendly dog. If you are interested in meeting May, please fill out our application, and we’ll be in touch.

Note: Sochi Dogs Rescue works on a foster-to-adopt model. All of our adopters have a 1-week trial period to decide if the dog is the right match for you. Should you decide the adoption is not working out, you can notify us within the first week, and we will coordinate a time to take the dog back into a foster home and issue a refund of the adoption fee minus $75

Additional adoption info
Sochi Dogs is a non-profit animal rescue that works closely with adopters to help them find the perfect addition to their families. All of our dogs are vetted, vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and microchipped.
Dog ownership is a long-term commitment so we take our adopters’ needs very seriously. We work on a foster to adopt basis, which allows adopters to get to know their new dog in a relaxed family setting.
For us, the most important things are finding the right family for the right dog. As long as it’s a good match we’re happy to adopt a dog out of state.
Fill out an adoption questionnaire on our website (http://www.sochidogs.org/adoption-inquiry/) and one of our volunteers will give you a call to help match you with your perfect k-9 companion!
We look forward to getting to know you!
