My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Lyla and I am middle aged and flirty! lol. I was rescued from the animal shelter where somehow I appeared on death row. I still don't know what I did to deserve that! Anyway, it took me a while to trust people, but now I like just about everyone. I do prefer females since that is what my trusted caretaker is, and honestly it will take me some time to warm up but I promise to be your best friend when I feel safe. I will seek your attention and rub up on you, and look simply adorable.
I prefer a quiet home. I get along with cats really well, probably gentle dogs also, but small children are a bit too unpredictable for me. Please give me a chance to warm your heart using my flirtatious ways.
Oh, by the way, my left eye drains sometimes, but it does not affect my eyesight, although sometimes I do find it annoying and am sensitive to having it doctored. Please don't let this slight imperfection keep you from adopting me.

Additional adoption info

Our cats are available for adoption for just $75, unless they have blue eyes, then the adoption fee is $100." This includes the spay/neuter, all vaccinations and parasite treatments. We adopt to 'approved' homes only.

We require that everyone be 'pre-approved' before viewing any of the cats/kittens, which is a simple, quick process. Our shelter is a private home, and some of the cats on our website are owned by private individuals. We find that this process actually saves everyone time and money.
