My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

💫 Meet Rocket - Your Built‑In Purring Machine!

If you're looking for a kitten who radiates joy, Rocket is your guy. The second you touch him, he switches on his signature turbo‑purr - no loading time required. He's affectionate, charming, and always ready to make friends.

Rocket is a playful dynamo with one core life philosophy:

Play time is every time.

Whether it's a wand toy, a crinkle ball, or a shadow on the wall, Rocket is fully committed.

He has done well with respectful dogs and enjoys having a buddy who matches his energy. With other cats, Rocket is a bit of a "play‑time enthusiast" - if his feline roommates aren't in the mood, he can get a little pushy about convincing them. Because of this, he may do best as an only cat or with a confident, playful feline who appreciates his style.

Rocket thrives in a home that isn't overly loud or chaotic. Give him a calm environment, daily playtime, and plenty of love, and he'll reward you with endless purrs and companionship.

If you're ready for fun, affection, and nonstop entertainment, Rocket is ready to launch into your life!

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
