Our Mission Statement: To provide or organize humane shelter, resources, and care for companion animals in need of housing and to provide education to fellow animal lovers, particularly foster families. We particularly try to rehabilitate and home animals on the “To Be Euthanized” lists at other shelters and animals that may need longer term care.
Founded in 2024 by three longtime fosters, our foundation grew out of frustration with the overcrowding in local shelters and the overwhelming animal overpopulation crisis in our community. Too many cats and dogs—especially those with medical needs or special circumstances—were being euthanized or left to suffer simply because there wasn’t enough space, funding, or care available.
At Flopsy’s Friends Foundation, we focus on giving those most at risk a real chance: the scared, the sick, the injured, and the overlooked. We believe every animal deserves safety, comfort, and love—no matter how much time or care they require.
