My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Elle update 🐾
Elle is a sweet, affectionate beagle mix who loves people, outings, and recently joined a Doggie Walk Club walk thanks to a wonderful volunteer—she did great!

She's looking for a foster-to-adopt home that can offer patience, structure, and consistency. She’s a jumper and very beagle at heart—especially when it comes to sniffing and grabbing anything off the floor—so she needs an aware and attentive home.

When she was found in a red sweater, her condition showed she’d been neglected, but she remains loving and trusting. She deserves a home that prioritizes her care and safety.

Medical Needs:
Elle has significant allergies, chronic skin issues, and recurring ear infections. Recent testing revealed she’s allergic to:
Rabbit, Rice, Peanut, Lamb, Beef, Pig, Chicken, Mealworm, Horse, Turkey, Wasp venom, and Honey Bee venom.
These require careful management and commitment from her adoptive family.

If you can provide the care Elle needs, we’d love to hear from you.
Can’t adopt? Donations toward Elle’s medical care make a huge difference. 💛

Additional adoption info

Beagles make wonderful pets. They are friendly, medium sized, highly social animals. They are considered one of the most family-friendly breeds. Beagles are intelligent but, as a result of being bred for the long chase, are single-minded and determined, which can make them hard to train. They can be difficult to recall once they have picked up a scent, and are easily distracted by smells around them.

Beagles love to play and do require more exercise than some other breeds and in most cases are considered moderate to highly active between puppyhood to about 3 years old. After they turn 3, beagles tend to "mature" and become couch potatoes! Exercise is “key” to having a happy and healthy dog. Keep in mind as beagles get older they tend to gain weight.
