My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Dosha!

Dosha (pronounced Da-Sha) is a 4-month-old F2 Goldendoodle (DOB: 9/25/25) weighing approximately 22 lbs, and he’s ready to find his furever home! He was purchased from a breeder, but sadly his family quickly discovered that a household member has a severe allergy. When the breeder was unwilling to take him back after just one day, his heartbroken owner made the selfless decision to do what was best for Dosha and ensure he finds the right home.

Dosha is CKC registered and is everything you’d expect from a Goldendoodle puppy—sweet, social, and full of happy energy. He’s an active boy who will thrive with a family that can keep up with his playful spirit and provide both physical exercise and mental enrichment. He enjoys romping around in a fenced yard, loves playing with toys, and is happiest when he’s with his people or canine friends. Dosha is not a good fit for a tether environment, nor will he do well in an apartment or mobile home setting.

He’s still working on perfecting his house manners, learning basic commands, and figuring out leash walking, so his future family should be prepared for continued training and consistency—just like with any young puppy. Dosha has done well with other dogs that are tolerant of puppy energy and has recently met a cat without any issues.

Because he’s still learning and can get a little jumpy when excited, Dosha would do best with older, dog-savvy children who understand puppy behavior. As a Goldendoodle, he will require regular grooming to keep his coat healthy and comfortable.

Dosha is a happy, loving boy looking for a committed family ready to guide him through puppyhood and love him furever. If you’re searching for an affectionate, fun-loving companion to grow with, Dosha may be the perfect match!

Dosha can go home with you but will remain in foster-to-adopt status until the sterilization surgery has been completed at 6 months of age at one of our partner Veterinary offices (Chesterfield, Clawson, Clinton Twp, or Rochester), which is included in the adoption fee and is non-negotiable.

Dosha is:
Current on Bordetella, Distemper, and Rabies
Dewormed
Heartworm Tested: Negative
Receiving Heartworm and Flea Prevention
Microchipped
Scheduled for neuter surgery at 6 months of age at one of our partner Veterinary offices.

ADOPTION FEE: $500

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS PET, PLEASE COMPLETE THE APPROPRIATE APPLICATION FOUND ON OUR WEBSITE HTTP://FUREVERTAILS.COM. Unfortunately, at this time we are not currently adopting outside of the state of MI. We process applications ONLY - there is no guarantee that you will get a response to an inquiry.

Many of the animals in our foster program come to us with limited or unknown histories. We make every effort to evaluate each animal’s temperament and behavior, including testing their interactions with other dogs, cats, and children (defined as individuals under the age of 18, when available). However, every animal is unique—just as every child and household environment is different.

While we strive to set both our foster animals and adoptive families up for success through thorough assessments and transparent communication, **we cannot guarantee any specific behavioral outcome**. Animals can be unpredictable by nature, and behavior may change in new environments or over time. By proceeding with adoption or foster placement, applicants acknowledge and accept this inherent risk and agree that no guarantees, either expressed or implied, are made regarding the temperament or behavior of any animal placed through our program.

FUREVER TAILS IS A NON-PROFIT, NO-KILL, FOSTER HOME BASED ANIMAL RESCUE BASED OUT OF OAKLAND TOWNSHIP, MI. OUR FOSTER ANIMALS ARE LIVING IN FOSTER HOMES AND TREATED LIKE FAMILY UNTIL THEY FIND THEIR OWN FUREVER FAMILIES. OUR ADOPTION PROECESS REQUIRES AN APPLICATION TO BE COMPLETED AND APPROVED BEFORE A MEET-N-GREET WITH THE ANIMAL CAN TAKE PLACE. ADOPTION FEES ARE NECESSARY TO HELP US COVER VETTING COSTS FOR OUR RESCUED ANIMALS.
