My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Zena is a stunning Cane Corso with a heart as strong as her spirit. Zena’s journey hasn’t been easy. She was originally found as a stray and came into a local shelter extremely sick, but this resilient girl fought her way back to health and is now thriving. Her strength and determination are just part of what makes her so special.

Zena is incredibly well trained and a joy to walk on leash. She’s calm, confident, and wonderful with people of all ages. She does great with dogs of all sizes and would be happy living with canine siblings. She truly loves her human companions and forms strong bonds with her people.

Zena does have a high prey drive, so she will need a home without small animals. No cats, bunnies, or other small pets, please. This is simply about safety and setting her up for success in the right environment.

She is fully vetted and up to date on all medical care, including monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. Zena has been in a home setting for the past few months and continues to show what an amazing companion she can be.

Zena is ready for a forever home that understands her needs and will give her the love, structure, and stability she deserves. If you’re looking for a loyal, well-mannered, and affectionate big dog with a beautiful soul, Zena just might be your perfect match.

Additional adoption info

All of our dogs and cats come spayed/neutered and vaccinated! Some of the pups will only have their first round of shots and may need rabies if they are under 3 months old. But other than that, these babies come ready to go! Our adoption fees vary, please inquire about each dog's individual fees. We do have cats and kittens available from time to time, so please inquire if you are looking for a feline pal! With their vetting, flights and care, we only ask for the adoption donation to help offset costs and make sure our adopters are serious. We love our rescues like we love our family. They mean the world to us and we just want to see them in good loving homes! And please check back as we are always adding new rescues to this page.

More about this rescue

We approach each every situation with an open mind. We work to build respect and trust with the partners, communities and countries we work in. With their acceptance, we build a plan together to meet the most pressing issues. We listen, learn and solve the needs together. We look for solutions that are integrated, scale-able, and sustainable. At Compassion Kind, we work with governments, institutions, local leaders, civil society organizations, foundations and businesses around the world to ensure that the most vulnerable beings are heard, and that they get the assistance they need to sustain from within the communities. Our teams and partners advocate for capacity building training and grass roots techniques so we make a lasting impact, create measurable change and operate as efficiently as possible.
