Meet Buford! 2024 was not kind to Buford and his brother Zeus. Their beloved human mom passed away unexpectedly leaving them without any remaining family. As if that weren't bad enough, their mom who ran an in-home daycare center passed away over a weekend and wasn't discovered until parents came on Monday morning to drop their children off. Meaning the boys had been left all on their own in the home with their deceased mother all weekend!
Buford is about 3-4 years old and 38 lbs (as of June 2025), although he could stand to lose a couple pounds. He's great with all dogs and absolutely ADORES children! He had a bit of a hard time after losing his mom, but with lots of love and TLC from his foster family Buford has blossomed back into the smiling happy guy we are sure he was before his mom passed.
Buford is looking for a home with someone who isnt away from home for extended periods and at least one other dog in the home. His Dream Come True forever home would be with a stay at home parent, or even work from home, and small children. He thoroughly enjoyed his role as baby nanny in his previous life and he would love nothing more than to have that chance again!
