My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Leo is a brown tabby kitten. That doesn't sound too impressive, but once you meet Leo, you can see he offers more than just looks! Leo is a playful fellow, who enjoys chasing through tunnels and playing with his three sisters. He's a busy boy, and not too eager to slow down and cuddle with you. That will change as he gets older, however. As he comes to know you as his humans, he will decide that the pets and loving are something he can't get enough of.

All of our dogs, cats, rabbits & ferrets are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Small animals are usually not altered. We have adoption applications, a short interview process, and an adoption fee for each animal. All animals (except rabbits & small animals) are up to date on all shots.

We hold adoption events on Saturdays at Petsmart in Mishawaka from 11-3. We also hold other events throughout the year. You can also contact us directly regarding a pet seen here and we will set up a time for you to meet them in person. Company Overview
Heartland Small Animal Rescue Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving South Bend, IN and surrounding towns by taking in homeless pets and adopting them out into loving homes. We also work closely with local shelters to reduce euthanasia rates by pulling animals and putting them in our program.
