Egg, lovingly known as GG, is a sweet, young calico girl estimated to be about 1 year old. She was found wandering the streets of Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, where she bravely survived on her own for about a month after her previous owners decided they no longer wanted her. Since coming indoors, GG has made it very clear that street life is not for her — she was meant to be cherished, cozy, and adored.
Egg is the ultimate lap cat! She would be an absolute dream for someone who works from home, because her favorite place in the world is right on your lap, soaking up love and snuggles. At the same time, she’s discovering what it means to truly be a kitten for the first time — playing with toys, exploring her surroundings, jumping, and slowly learning how to relax and feel safe.
Because of her past, GG can still be a little sensitive to sudden movements and needs a patient, gentle adopter who understands that trust takes time. With consistency and kindness, we believe she will become a 100% snuggleable, confident companion. Every one of her foster moms has completely fallen for her, and it’s easy to see why.
Egg would do best in a quiet home, ideally as a solo cat where she can be the center of attention. She may adapt to a young female cat companion with a very slow and thoughtful introduction, but her heart is happiest in calm, predictable spaces.
If you’re looking for a loving, soulful cat who wants nothing more than to curl up with you and finally feel safe, Egg (GG) might just be your perfect match. Her fosters can’t wait to see her land in the forever home she so deeply deserves. Egg is spayed, vaccinated, has been treated for parasites, microchipped and negative for FeLV/FIV.
