Andy is a 7-month-old sable and white rough Collie boy with a heart as big and fluffy as his coat. According to his foster Mom, this kid is soooo snuggly. If you’re sitting, Andy would like to be touching you. If you’re standing, he’s happy to remind you that sitting is better.
Andy absolutely adores people and other dogs. He is playful, social, and loves having canine friends to romp with. In true Collie fashion, Andy can be a bit of an alarm barker and will let you know about new things or sudden noises, but he settles once he understands everything is okay. Andy is very food motivated, which makes him a great candidate for continued training. He already tolerates grooming well, is crate trained, and is learning the leash. He is not totally convinced that leash walks are his favorite thing yet and may occasionally protest by plopping down, but he’s young and figuring it out. For this reason, Andy might benefit with a fenced in yard.
Overall, Andy is a sweet, affectionate and playful boy who wants to be part of the action and part of your heart. He would thrive in a home ready to continue his training, enjoy his cuddles, and appreciate his gentle, sweet ways.
