My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Pinto, he waited around 6 months before embarking on his journey to come to San Diego from Mexico. Pinto is a one year old terrier mix that weighs about 35 lbs. Pinto is very loving and wants nothing more than his humans affection. He is still learning the concept of personal space and will find any opportunity to crawl into your lap. He would thrive in a home with a canine companion of any size. He has also learned to enjoy the company of kids.

Pinto is still working on his leash and crate skills. He has enjoyed outings to the beach and going on hikes. He loves to play with his humans shoes without destroying them, he thinks its a game of hide and seek. He does well with a consistent potty routine and reminders to go out. He is very food motivated and loves to chew on his toys. He enjoys his car ride outings but is still shy and learning to trust new people he meets.

Pinto is an all around good boy that would do best with a family who has patience and love to give. He is a velcro pup that wants to do nothing more than please his people.

Interview

If your adoption application is selected as the best fit to continue in the adoption process, a volunteer will contact you.

Home Check

After reviewing your application and phone interview, we will conduct a home check.

4.
Meet the Pet

The ASR volunteer will help coordinate a play date between you and the foster so you can meet the pet.

We are a 100% volunteer based rescue and due to the large number of adoption applications we receive, we are unable to respond to each individual applicant. If your application is selected to continue in the adoption process, a volunteer will contact you via the phone number provided on your adoption application.
