My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"Fannie" #6655 is a 3 year, 52 lb. female (will need to be spayed*) Pit Mix. This affectionate little shortie will make you smile. She enjoys playing in the dog park, when she runs she trots and loves carrying around her stuffed toys. Happy to see her humans, and it shows, a permanent smile is always on her delightful face. Her Veterinary exam went well, however she may need soft palate surgery in the future. * Adopter will receive a voucher from PetFix Northeast Ohio for a free spay surgery. If interested in Fannie, please call the Lake County Dog Shelter to make an appointment to meet her (440) 350-2640

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All stray dogs brought in to our shelter must be held 4 business days for their owners to find them. Each dog must be cleared by our Veterinarian prior to being made available for adoption. We encourage potential dog owners to do some research on breed traits prior to coming to our facility and to spend some time with the dog they are interested in. If they have children or another dog at home, we encourage them to bring their existing family here for a meeting with the potential "new family member" before adopting; this can help people evaluate how interactions will be at home before making a final decision. It is a good idea for people to call us before coming in to see a particular dog, as it is possible it may have been reclaimed by its owner or already adopted! Our current adoption fee is $80.00 plus the registration fee of $20.00; this includes your new pet, a current dog license, a Veterinarian's assessment and first visit discount, initial vaccinations, de-worming, and a registered microchip. We ask for driver's licenses or state or military identification, and can accept cash, personal checks, or money orders and credit cards as payment. Thanks to all who have adopted their lifetime companions from our shelter, and we wish for your continued happiness!
