If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Lyanna joined our family 7 years ago as a kitten. We found her at a black cat specific adoption event and were instantly charmed by her playful and outgoing personality. She is energetic, silly, and very loving to her chosen humans. She may take a bit to warm up, but once she does she can be a real lap potato.
She's an anxious girl and needs a quiet, consistent household. She's currently on meds for anxiety and possible seizures. She occasionally has outbursts of hissing, swatting and charging. This started about a year ago when our other cat passed away, and we became pregnant. We think the changes in the household have been a little too much for her and she could use more attention than we can give her.
She shows interest in going outside, though she's been indoor only up to this point.
We're hoping that she can thrive in a home with someone who can meet her needs for attention and activity.
