If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Adopted from a shelter in SC in the summer of 2016. Was told he was a 7-month-old Pointer mix. Now, he ten (10) years old.
He’s been an indoor dog his entire life - house trained, as long as he’s being let out regularly.
Does well with my indoor cat of ten (10) years.
Does well with children who are aware and gentle with animals; has always lived in a child-free home, however.
Has done well living with other dogs in the past, but is particular as he’s lived mostly as an only-dog. Loves long walks/hikes, snuggling under covers, and going for car rides (especially if there’s a pup cup in it for him).
Frightened by storms, fireworks, and other loud booms.
Looking for a home that has time, patience, and love for him in his final years. Recent life changes have forced me back into travel nursing where the assignments are long and housing unstable. At best, he’s alone for 12+ hours, 4 days per week. I’m constantly on the road and living out of hotels.
