My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Imagine a young dog who has already faced unimaginable challenges. He spent his early days living in a vehicle with four cats and another dog that we have since adopted out. When he came to us, he was severely malnourished and needed time to recover. After being on medical hold, he has now gained 5.5 pounds, though he’s still not fully filled out.

This gentle soul, at just nine months old, deserves a chance at a loving home. He has been deprived of the affection every animal should experience, and now he’s ready to trust again. Can you be the superhero he’s been waiting for—his Superman or Wonder Woman? Give him the love and care he needs, and transform his life forever.

The $100 adoption fee is a refundable deposit. The adopter will be responsible for having the animal spayed or neutered within 90 days at the clinic of their choosing. If this is completed within the required 90 days, the adopter must submit the necessary documentation, including a spay/neuter certificate, a receipt for the spay/neuter, and a rabies certificate, to receive a refund of up to the deposit amount. Spaying and neutering are required for adoption under our adoption contract and Indiana State Law.

In most cases, we do not require adopters to bring all their family members and dogs to a meet-and-greet. But we do highly encourage it. We are happy to introduce the new dog to your dog(s) at the shelter. No appointment necessary.

We offer home trials for dogs over 6 months old for about a week. You will not need to pay the adoption fee (spay/neuter deposit) in advance, but if you decide to adopt, you will need to return to the shelter to complete the paperwork and pay the adoption deposit. If you do not wish to complete the adoption, you may return the dog at any time during regular business hours during your home trial period.
