My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Punky Mewster, a 5-month-old female calico with a punk-rock name, a resilient spirit, and a serious love for food.

Punky Mewster had a previous broken jaw, which has healed but she needs an adopter to keep an eye on her. As she grows older, her dental and jaw structure may change and will need monitoring—but right now, it doesn’t slow her down one bit. In fact, Punky is a certified food goblin: highly food-motivated, enthusiastic at mealtime, and always ready to remind you if you’re running late with dinner.

She’s friendly, social, and does great with other cats, making her a wonderful addition to a multi-cat home. Punky’s past hasn’t dulled her sparkle—she’s full of personality, charm, and appetite.

If you’re looking for a unique calico with a big heart, a little extra care, and an even bigger love of snacks, Punky Mewster is ready to steal your heart (and your treats).

Meet and greet/adoption appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt!
DON'T FORGET! Cats often do better with a friend! All our cats and kittens have an "Adopt one and the 2nd at half the adoption fee!" bonus!!!

Our kitten/cat adoption fees vary on age, ($25-125 +TAX) special needs, lonely heart status (cats that have been with us 6+ months), and for our senior to seniors program. Our adoption fees include the following: all of our cats/kittens are current on vaccinations (FVRCP series and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), treated for fleas/ticks/earmites in addition to being spayed or neutered once the cat reaches 2 lbs in weight. All cats and kittens adopted from the shelter are microchipped. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances.

Because we are on a busy street, we require that all cats leaving the shelter be in a carrier. All pets are up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee is paid.
