My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

CALL foster family at (530) 832-4728 in Portola, CA (just one hour from Reno or Truckee).

WILLOW is a sweet and beautiful girl who loves to play and is very curious, so she needs a kitten-safe home. When the cat treats come out, she is the first to jump on her foster parents’ laps, and has a very loud purr! She is the sweetest friend to her foster family’s disabled rabbit, and grooms him daily. She is a beautiful spotted tabby with a white vest and socks. Willow is still learning about humans and needs adopter(s) who have time to socialize with her each day. She is food and treat motivated so this is fun and easy, but requires a time commitment. She has come a long way since being born under the willows on the banks of the Feather River (along with her siblings Fiona and Sage, also available for adoption). She is being fostered and socialized in a home with a large dog, five adult cats, and a rabbit, and gets along great with everyone! She is very healthy, and is spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies and FVRCP and there is no adoption fee. Please call her foster family at (530) 832-4728 for more information about Willow or her siblings.

More about this rescue

Friends of Plumas County Animals is a non profit 501(c)3 organization We are dedicated to improving the lives of the animals who come into our rescue and to reducing the number of unwanted/homeless animals through spay and neuter programs. When we volunteered at the local county shelter we built outdoor enclosures and play yards for the dogs and cats. Currently, Friends takes animals into our own rescue site where we spay and neuter animals who are above 4 months old and then re-home the animals. When we have the available monies we also help those in need of financial assistance spay and neuter their personal pets. Our adoptable animals are offered with no adoption fee to approved homes, and we survive on the generous donations of our adopters and supporters.
