Meet Zinnia, a gentle and resilient Torbie beauty born on June 18, 2024. Once someone’s beloved pet, her world was turned upside down when she was abandoned while pregnant and left to fend for herself on the streets. By the time she was rescued, Zinnia was heartbreakingly thin and weak — a young mother who had endured far too much in her short life.
Despite everything she’s been through, Zinnia’s spirit still shines. She’s a sweet, affectionate girl who longs for kindness and security. She’s still discovering the joy of play — toys are new to her — but with patience and love, she’ll blossom into a confident, happy companion.
Zinnia would do best as the only cat in her home, though she may be comfortable with one gentle feline friend. She’d thrive in a calm household with adults or older children (13+), where she can finally relax and know she’s safe. A dog-free home would be ideal for her peace of mind.
Zinnia is spayed, microchipped, parasite-treated, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and has tested negative for FeLV and FIV.
She’s ready to leave her difficult past behind and begin a new chapter — one filled with warmth, love, and the security she’s always deserved.

1) I do home visits for all the cats/kittens for adoption. I am not currently able to adopt to anyone living more than 1 hour outside of Rochester, NY.
2) I require a vet reference and will contact them.
3) Most of the cats in my care come from the streets and have had a bad start in life. They usually would do best in a home with older children and NO dogs.
4) All the cats/kittens that are up for adoption will be spayed/neutered, have age appropriate vaccinations, combo tested and treated for fleas and worms.

I am a caretaker of city cat colonies and a trapper. I do rescue a few cats and kittens along the way. Lately I have found many friendly cats and abandoned cats that I am trying to find homes for.
All the cats that are up for adoption are spayed/neutered, have age appropriate vaccinations, combo tested and treated for fleas and worms.
The adoption fee helps me to recoup some of the costs and allow me to continue to TNR and rescue homeless and abandoned cats in the city.
