CG-short for Crazy Girl is a very sweet and playful kitten who was born outside to a stray cat whose owners moved out and left them behind. Her mom Sparrow (also up for adoption) and her older brother Charlie (also available for adoption) were living outside of someone's townhouse when they moved in and the landlord did not want them there so she called us. She also posted in a local internet post and by the time I got there 3 out of 4 kittens were gone except for CJ.
She was still nursing so we took her home along with mom and brother and got them all vetted. (Spayed or neutered, vaccinated for FVRCP and rabies ,flea and worm treated and tested for feline leukemia and FIV (both negative)) Now they are all up for adoption either separate or together!
CJ is called Crazy Girl because she has A LOT of energy and plays kind of rough, so she would not be a good match for someone with small children or a first-time pet owner.

Once a match is found for your family, there is an $85 adoption fee. This fee covers spaying/neutering of your cat, worming, all shots including rabies, ear mite and flea treatment, and Feline Leukemia and AIDS testing. All adoptions are done on a trial basis so we can be sure everyone is happy. Our goal is to find the best possible cat for you and to ensure our cats have happy forever homes.

Castaway Cats is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit cat rescue based in Bear, DE, comprised entirely of volunteers. We do not have a shelter and all of our cats are in foster homes. This rescue was started in 1992 in an effort to help the homeless and feral cats in our area. Each cat we rescue is spayed/neutered, tested for Feline Leukemia and AIDS, vaccinated with FVCRP and rabies shots, de-wormed and de-fleaed. Because all our cats are spayed or neutered before adoption, we do not adopt out kittens under the age of 12 weeks.
