My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Momma Sylvie is the complete opposite of her son Sylvester. She came to us extremely underweight, malnourished and scared. She was found with her four premature kittens, unfortunately only one of them survived. We had to truly teach her to tend to her single baby, all she wanted was human touch and affection which we of course gave but she needed to focus on raising her little one. She is now healthy, beautiful, loving, affectionate, laid-back and looking for her forever home. She does well with pretty much everything and everyone, she is thriving in our one public location. She would totally be a lap kitty if that is what you want in a kitty. She has all the love to give to us humans even after what she went through.

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

First step in adoption is to always submit an application to adopt even if you do not know who you want.

2.
Interview

We do indeed check our applicants thoroughly and will call references, these questions are not just there for show so please let anyone know

3.
Approve Application

Once approved our application manager will reach out to either set up a meet n greet if the kitten is in foster or an adoption day

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

This will include a contract being signed and updated medical history records being given to the adopter to give to their vet.

5.
Pay Fee

An adoption fee for the kitten/cat will be collected on the adoption day. The food the kitten is eating must be acquired to prevent GI upset

6.
Take the Pet Home

Your new furr-baby can go to his/her forever home!

Making new best friends since 2020. Calla’s Critter Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that rescues local cats and provides sanctuary and quality care until their forever home is found.
