If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
We rescued sweet Miles from the side of the road as a starving puppy in September 2025. He is now neutered, up-to-date on his shots and healthy as can be. He has a lot of energy and loves to play, especially with his paws. We regret having to find him another home, but he is not working well with our other pets, particularly the cat. Miles seems to have natural hunting instincts; he doesn’t shy away, but rather pursues, when the cat warns him to get away! He is also a little dominant with our other dog, which is a miniature poodle. They play well together, but when Miles gets frisky ;) the poodle gets upset because he’s not big enough to defend himself and get away. Miles seems to still have some food anxiety from his homeless days. His tendency is to want to steal food from the other pets. We think he would be best placed in a home where he is the only pet. Our kids are 14 and 11 so we don’t have any experience with Miles around younger children. He is a good boy.
