Born June 2025, Pimienta and her siblings were puppies on the street far too young.
Thankfully a kind stranger took them in for a few weeks while they waited for space to
become available at the SPCA PV sanctuary in Puerto Vallarta. While we’re so happy she’s off the street, she belongs in a home with a family who loves her. We think she’ll grow to
about 30 lbs. She is a mixed breed which may include terrier and pointer.
She has a beautiful coat with gorgeous markings, highlighting her unique special breed
of Mexican princess. Pimienta passed her cat test – she was curious and cautious. As
Pimienta has spent her early life in sanctuary she prefers walking with other dogs and
might like a dog companion to show her the way. Pimienta has spent some Saturdays at the market in PV and she has been awesome meeting new people and dogs walking by, she’s calm and curious. If you think you might be a good fit for this gorgeous girl, either as her happy ever after, or as a foster along the way, we’d love to hear from you at pvcaadoptions@gmail.com. Please check your junk mail for our response in case it’s made its way there.

PVCA Animal Rescue is the sister organization of the SPCA Puerto Vallarta in Mexico. We facilitate the transportation and adoption of rescue dogs into loving forever homes. PVCA is a network of volunteers, transporters, and foster homes. Our sister shelter, the SPCA PV rescues, rehabilitates and promote sterilization in the Puerto Vallarta area, with the goal of eliminating the euthanasia of healthy and adoptable animals. The organizations are wholly run through donations and volunteer efforts. The dogs & cats of Mexico are too often found living on the streets after being discarded and/or extremely abused. Compassion Knows No Boundaries!
