Meet Freya

Freya is a beautiful girl who recently raised a litter of puppies and is now ready to be the one spoiled with love . She is a super sweet, people-loving girl who truly defines the word Velcro.  Freya wants to be right by your side at all times and thrives on human connection.

Freya absolutely adores kids and has been incredibly gentle with everyone she’s met. She’s currently decompressing in her foster home and is beginning to interact with her foster dog siblings . So far, she’s doing wonderfully and introductions are being taken nice and slow to set her up for success.

On leash, Freya walks without pulling ‍, though she prefers to lean into her person and may wander a bit side to side. In the car , Freya rides well when tethered (otherwise she’ll happily try to ride shotgun ).

Freya does great in her crate and can also be trusted to free roam in the home , making her an easy and enjoyable companion .

Ideal Home

Freya will do well in just about any loving home. She would be a great match for a first-time giant breed owner or an experienced one alike . She does not require a fenced yard and would be perfectly happy as an only dog . With proper, slow introductions , she should do well in a home with other dogs big and small. Kids are absolutely welcome—she truly shines with them .

Freya is ready to trade her mama duties for a lifetime of cuddles, companionship, and unconditional love . If you’re looking for a loyal shadow with the gentlest heart , Freya may be your perfect match .

More about this rescue

Just Giant Rescue Inc (JGRI) is a dog rescue catering to giant breed dogs. We don’t discriminate against breed, but they must be giants such as the regal Great Dane, loyal Mastiff, and clownish Saint Bernard, to name a few.

We strive to follow the 3 R’s.
• Rescuing. We rescue from all types of situations, owner surrenders, and from local shelters. We strive to help as many as we can, with what resources we have available.
• Rehabilitating. All dogs are fostered inside loving homes, becoming temporary family members. They are fully vet checked, vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and guarded against heartworm, fleas and ticks. They are also given a temperament test prior to being eligible for adoption.
• Re-homing. Each dog is individually matched with the best suited adoptive home for them. Each applicant wanting to adopt must fill out an application and complete a home check prior to being approved.
