This helps Red Fern Animal Rescue with pet care costs.
Prince Charming was found with his littermates as a young puppy and brought to the shelter in the small, rural town of Wortham in South Texas. He was adopted out of the shelter and they thought all was great, but unfortunately it was not. He was often left alone and the family said he was too hyper and they did not have time for him so he was returned. Their loss! He’s such a sweet, happy dog who will be so loved by the right family looking for a puppy. He just wants to play and have fun- typical puppy stuff. He would be great in a home with children and for sure another dog. He’s a happy boy!
Potty trained? Yes
Crate trained? Yes
Leash trained? Yes.
He does nip when given treats so he needs to work on that- easy peasy!
Unfortunately Prince Charming, and all the animals at the shelter, have little prospects as the shelter does little to no adoptions. There is a small group of individuals in Wortham that work tirelessly to network (and vet, on a very limited budget) these animals to foster-based rescues in and out of Texas that are willing to consider them. Red Fern was contacted by one of these volunteers who, together with her high school daughter, go to the holding facility every day to walk the dogs, socialize them, take them to the vet, and just spend quality time with them.
Prince Charming is still at the shelter in the small, rural town of Wortham in South Texas. He's waiting for an adopter, or committed foster, to welcome him into their Colorado home! There is a transport arriving Friday 1/16 that he can hop on so submit your application quickly!
Red Fern Animal Rescue offers a two week foster to adopt trial in your home before finalizing the adoption to ensure the animal is the right fit for you, everyone in the home, human & animal, and vice versa.
Red Fern Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foster-based animal rescue in Denver that saves animals from abandonment and neglect in South Texas for new lives in Colorado. We primarily rescue dogs off the streets and from kill shelters in San Antonio.
