Catfish was brought to the shelter as a stray, carrying the quiet evidence of a hard life in the scars on her face and body. The chaos of the shelter overwhelmed her, and when she fell ill, she was placed on the euthanasia list. Thanks to a dedicated foster, Catfish was rescued just in time.

Catfish has so much love to give—she’s just still learning how to receive it. She can be overly eager for affection, trying to get as close as possible, not out of pushiness but because love is still new to her. With patience, she’s discovering that kindness can be calm and safe. She does well with other dogs, enjoys a good rough-and-tumble play session, and responds well to appropriate corrections.

Catfish is ready for a home where she can finally feel loved and cherished for the rest of her days. She is fostered in Brooklyn, NY, and is available for local or out-of-state adoption as long as the adopter can travel to meet her. Adopters receive a general approval to adopt.

Adopters must meet the pet they want to adopt in person.

This can be done before meeting the pet in person.

Pay Fee

Payment can be made during the in person meeting if the adopter wishes to bring the pet home.
