Kaia | 9-Month-Old Jindo/Shiba Mix Looking for Her Forever Home
Meet Kaia, a sweet and gentle 9-month-old spayed female Jindo mix who is ready to find her forever family.
With her soft brown coat and kind eyes, Kaia is a quiet, affectionate puppy who bonds deeply with her people.

• Breed: Jindo mix
• Sex: Spayed female
• Age: 9 months
• Weight: 10 kg (22 lbs)
• Height: 42 cm (16.5 in at shoulder)
• Color: Brown
Rescue Story
Kaia was rescued on May along with her sidings. (one of her siblings, Mason has been adopted in Toronto)
She lived in a loving foster home for three months, where she learned how to live in a home environment.
On January, she moved to the Adopt Me Center to prepare for her journey to her forever home abroad.
Personality & People
Kaia is a gentle, slightly shy but very loving girl.
Once she feels safe, she opens her heart quickly and becomes affectionate and trusting.
She is comfortable with both men and women and does well with children under 13.
She enjoys being picked up and cuddled, and when she bonds with you, she will roll over for belly rubs and even tap you with her paw to ask for more
With Other Dogs
Kaia hasn’t had much experience in large group play, so she may be shy in big dog groups, but she does very well in one-on-one play.
She is most comfortable with dogs her size or smaller and is scared of large dogs.
She avoids overly energetic or pushy dogs and does not depend on other dogs for confidence, so she can happily be an only dog too.
Cats
Kaia is curious when she sees cats on walks, but she listens well and will follow her handler when redirected.
A formal cat test can be arranged.
Energy Level
Kaia has a moderate energy level.
She enjoys outdoor walks and activities, but once she’s home, she settles nicely and rests calmly.
She also plays independently with her toys indoors.
Walking on Leash
Kaia may pull a little on leash, but she generally follows her person well.
Sudden movements or street noises may make her pause and look around briefly, but she recovers well with gentle guidance.
Home Life & Habits
• No food guarding with people or dogs
• No separation anxiety
• Rarely barks
• Calm in a kennel
• Uses both pee pads indoors and bathroom outside
Kaia is naturally very sweet, gentle, and easy-going, making her an excellent companion for many types of homes.
