My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Riley is a 6-year-old female hound mix with a gentle soul and a heart full of love. She’s a low-key, sweet, and affectionate girl who is simply looking for a soft place to land after a big change in her life. Riley was recently surrendered due to her owner’s medical issues, and the shelter environment has been overwhelming for her. All she truly wants is a calm, quiet home where she can finally relax. She is skittish around men and children, so an adult-only or very low-traffic home would help her feel safe and confident as she settles in. Despite her 70-pound size, Riley is convinced she’s a lap dog and would love nothing more than to be close to her person. She enjoys car rides, leisurely walks, and soaking up all the love she can get. With patience, understanding, and a gentle hand, Riley will be an incredibly loyal and loving companion.
