This kitty is, well, as cool as a Cucumber! If you're looking for a sweet snuggle buddy who will warm your lap and your heart, he's your boy. He is quite the entertainer, too, as here is never a dull moment with him. Cucumber loves to play with other cats, so if you have a feline friend or would like adopt a companion for him, he'd be cool with that. He is also great at entertaining himself, so you'll see him carrying around a toy in his mouth or playing with one of his favorite toys, which include springs and mice. If you're ready to add an adorable bundle of fur to your home, check out Cucumber. He may be your purrfect match!
Cucumber does have a medical consideration that we ask you contact the adoption center to learn more about his medical needs.
Ready to Adopt a Kitten?
You have two options:
#1- VISIT IN PERSON
Come during our open adoption hours: Tuesday - Saturday,12:30 - 3:00pm. You’ll be able to meet available kittens in the shelter.
(Kittens in foster care are not available for in-person visits.)
#2- ADOPT SIGHT UNSEEN
If you’re ready to adopt without meeting the kitten first, we can help over the phone or by email. (413) 781-4000 x 1 springfield@dakinhumane.org. We are often helping other clients when you call, but we return voicemails and emails within 24 hours.
Kittens are adopted on a first come, first served basis, and we’re not able to place holds on them.
All kitten adoption fees include;
-spay/neuter
-rabies vaccination (if over 12 weeks of age)
-current on distemper vaccines (will need additional boosters with your veterinarian)
-FeLV blood test
-microchip implanted & registered to the adopter
-treatment of fleas/ticks/ear mites
-veterinary exam and health certificate at Dakin
-free vet exam within 30 days after adoption with participating veterinarians
Most pets have also received other medical care while with us. Your veterinarian may recommend additional health care for your new pet.
