My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Fancy! This gorgeous young girl is as sweet as can be. She can be a bit shy at first, but give her a moment to warm up and then she's all over you, giving gentle headbutts and purring up a storm. Fancy is a curious and intelligent cat who loves to watch the world go by outside the window. She enjoys birdwatching, cloud gazing, and napping in the sun. When the mood strikes she also likes to play; wand toys are a particular favorite. If you're looking for a gentle and affectionate companion to share your home with, come meet Fancy today!

More about this shelter

The Michigan Animal Rescue League (MARL) is one of southeast Michigan’s most established animal shelters, serving the community since 1953. Our history and experience combined with constant evaluation of trends in animal welfare and sheltering have made us a necessary and respected asset within our community. As, “A Different Breed of Shelter” we challenge the stereotypes of traditional animal shelters and believe that the, “Quality of the Wait,” can make all the difference in the future of an animal.

Our Mission
The Mission of the Michigan Animal Rescue League is to provide the highest quality of life to dogs and cats through rescue, medical care, socialization and behavioral support, short- and long-term sanctuary, adoption, and community education and outreach.
