Every cloud has a silver lining, and Cloud the cat hopes that he does too.
Surrendered from a multi-cat home, Cloud, a handsome black and white tuxedo, arrived at EHS ready to embark on a new journey. Don’t let his name fool you: he is anything but gloom and doom, he is actually a gentle giant who, despite a sad face, is the sweetest guy; he just wants to be loved. You are surrounded by love, Cloud, and your days will become brighter as you learn that humans can be trusted.
ABOUT CLOUD - At shelter - Cloud is a skittish cat who has had minimal experience with humans. - He prefers the comfort of small spaces and can often be found chilling in the comfort of his cubby or at the bottom of a cat tree. - Cloud is currently enrolled in EHS’s socialization program, where dedicated volunteers are working to help him become more comfortable around people. - He is becoming more laid-back, and once he feels comfortable, he enjoys pets on his head from both the back-scratcher and by hand, even leaning in for more. You might even catch him sticking his little pink tongue out when he’s really enjoying chin scratches! - Cloud likes his meals served at his stoop, appearing to enjoy what is offered. Food seems to be the key to this boy’s heart, and he will often sniff hands to check for treats. - No toys have piqued his interest just yet, but our team is working hard to find that perfect one to entice him. - Cloud has FIV, which is a virus that weakens the immune system of a cat but is not transmissible to humans or other species. - He is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP and is up to date on core vaccinations.
CLOUD’S IDEAL HOME - A skittish cat will benefit from a calm, quiet environment, preferably without young children. - Cloud enjoys the company of felines and would be happy to share a home with a FIV+ friend. - He does not require medication but vet checkups twice a year are recommended. - Cats who have FIV can live just as long as other cats if they are properly cared for with a good diet, an indoor home, and a loving family. - Potential adopters should be prepared to commit the time, effort, and patience required to help Cloud settle into his new environment. EHS will provide post-adoption support to assist Cloud with a successful transition to his forever home.
Are you ready to add Cloud to your family? Your mood won’t cloud over with this handsome boy; sunny days are a
