My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet the Family of Kittens
Elsie, Edith, Elodie, and Edward make up a delightful group of kittens currently calling the shelter their temporary home. Each kitten in this family brings a special spark, contributing their unique personality and spirit to the group. Their days are filled with lively play and endless curiosity, making their presence a constant source of joy for everyone around them.
As a lively bunch, these kittens seize every opportunity to explore, play, and discover their surroundings. Their boundless energy and playful antics are the epitome of what it means to be a kitten, ensuring that time spent with them is always entertaining and heartwarming.
Among this charming group, Elodie stands out with her progress toward becoming fully litter box trained. Her adaptability and eagerness to learn showcase her readiness for a loving home and highlight what a wonderful addition she would be to any family.
If you are considering inviting a new feline companion into your life, think about adopting Elodie along with one of her siblings. Together, they will bring not only companionship and affection, but also endless entertainment, brightening your days with their playful energy and loving nature.

More about this shelter

The Stone County SPCA was organized in 2009 and opened a shelter in 2012 in Wiggins, MS. We have always been a no kill shelter. Our biggest challenge is the high demand to place dogs and cats in our shelter. Currently, we take in approximately 1200 animals annually. We do not euthanize animals for lack of space. We have a live release rate of 95%. We do this by keeping adoption fees low and transporting a large percentage of our animals (65% of our dogs and puppies).
