Buttercup is a 9-month-old kitty who is a gentle late bloomer. Her past means she takes her time, but she’s steadily building trust with humans and forms quick, positive connections with other animals. She has experience living with both cats and dogs and does well with a calm, predictable environment. Buttercup is comfortable using both a robotic litter box and a traditional litter box.

She enjoys a quiet life, and it’s especially rewarding when she chooses to approach you with a lifted tail, asking for affection on her own terms. Buttercup will thrive with someone who appreciates her soft, thoughtful way of showing love.

She is FeLV/FIV tested, spayed, rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, microchipped, and up to date on dewormer and flea prevention.

Buttercup is fostered in Houston, TX along with her remaining siblings, but transport is available to the PNW, New England, and along applicable transport routes. Adoption fee INCLUDES transport cost.

More about this rescue

ROSES (Reducing Overpopulation: Spay/Neuter Education & Support) exists to conduct outreach, community education, fundraising, and service navigation to encourage spay/neuter for dogs and cats in overpopulated communities.

"ROSES Rescues" is an offshoot of this mission that helps the strays, rescue transfers, and owner surrenders that our volunteers and partners encounter and need help matching with forever homes.

We are located in Houston, Texas and are a FULLY foster-based rescue with no physical shelter location. We proudly transport our kitties to wonderful adopters in the Northeast, Pacific Northwest, Colorado, and locations along those routes, so please feel free to check out our pets and see if we have a transport spot close to you!
