What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Gritty is a 5 y/o orange & white domestic short hair cat who is looking for a new home where he can be the only pet. Currently Gritty lives in a home with 4 other cats, where his brother is the alpha and kicks him out of the room all the time. Gritty can be shy and usually does not get the space and peace that he needs and ends up swiping at the other cats. When Gritty is by himself that is when he shines and interacts with his family.
- Loves to be pet and will bump heads with you
- Likes to sit on a pillow in your lap or next to you for pets
- Good around little kids
- Will eat almost anything, both wet and dry food, easy to feed
- Loves wand toys, string and laser pointers
- Litter trained
- Knows how to use the scratching post (usually does not like nails clipped)
- Does not need brushing often
- Likes cat trees
- Can be left alone/overnight, does not require constant attention
Owners will supply litter box, litter genie, bowls, small cat tower. Can see vet on day of transition
