My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Jubilee! 🖤🐾
Jubilee is a beautiful 1-year-old black cat with a thoughtful, sensitive personality and a quiet charm all her own. The shelter environment has been stressful for her, and she can be nervous in busy or noisy settings, so she’s looking for a calm, adult-only home with no children where her boundaries will be respected.

Jubilee is cat friendly and truly blossoms when she has confident, social cats around—she takes comfort in their presence and becomes more relaxed and trusting with people when she sees other cats modeling that humans are safe. While she isn’t a constant cuddler, Jubilee does enjoy affection… just on her terms. She appreciates gentle attention, quiet companionship, and the freedom to come and go as she pleases.

This sweet girl will want her own space and time to decompress, but with patience and understanding, she forms meaningful connections and shows her affectionate side in subtle, special ways. Jubilee is looking for a patient, cat-savvy home that understands consent, respects boundaries, and will love her for exactly who she is—a sensitive, beautiful soul who just needs the right environment to shine. 🖤

More about this shelter

The Gulf Coast Humane Society is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) animal welfare organization dedicated to serving the animals and community of Southwest Florida. We receive no federal, state, or county funding, nor do we receive financial support from the Humane Society of the United States. Instead, our lifesaving work is made possible through the generosity of individual donations, grants, bequests, and community fundraising efforts.

As a no kill shelter, Gulf Coast Humane Society is committed to providing compassionate care for unwanted, neglected, and abandoned animals. We never euthanize due to space constraints or the length of time an animal has been in our care. Our mission is to give every animal the second chance they deserve in a safe and loving environment.
