My name is Buck!

Buck is an adorable 5-year-old guy weighing about 55 lbs. He’s a total cutie who’s still a little unsure about shelter life and would love nothing more than a calm home to call his own.
Buck would thrive in a home with a predictable routine, as structure helps him feel safe and build confidence. He is house-trained and enjoys going for walks, though he can startle easily in new or noisy situations—gentle reassurance goes a long way with this sensitive boy.
He’s friendly, knows sit and paw, and is very motivated by treats (which also make training fun and rewarding!). With patience, love, and consistency, Buck is sure to blossom into a loyal and wonderful companion.

The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter is open every day from noon to 6pm (excluding limited holidays/events). You can meet our adoptable animals with the convenience of an appointment or as a walk-in. Appointments can be made by emailing adoption@wilcotx.gov.

In addition to our main shelter at 1855 SE Inner Loop, Georgetown, TX 78626, you can also meet adoptable dogs at our satellite location, the Red Poppy Adoptique, located at 110 W L Walden Dr, Georgetown, TX 78626.

Looking for a fun way to make a difference? Try our Doggy Day Out program! Take one of our pups on an adventure for a few hours-giving them a much-needed break from the shelter while you enjoy some quality time. The program runs at both locations daily starting at noon.
