My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

foster, Ginger is once again finding her footing.
These careful steps have been essential for
About this special girl:
• Ginger does not do well with small dogs or animals (no cats). Her prey drive is real, and she will chase.
• She can do well with larger male dogs, with slow introductions and in the hands of a knowledgeable, patient GSP family.
• She is deeply people-oriented and will become your shadow in no time.
• She shows some resource guarding around food with other dogs, though she is comfortable being pet while eating. Ginger loves food and is very food-motivated. Her vet believes this enthusiasm — and guarding — may stem from a time when she lived outside and was underfed or inconsistently fed.
• Her arthritis and incontinence are being managed with medication and daily supplements, and despite it all, she still has so much life and joy in her.
• She is housebroken, enjoys easy walks, car rides, and long naps — the simple pleasures that make life sweet.
Ginger is a sweetheart who spent far too long in the wrong hands. Now, she deserves the very best we can give her — a home that will meet her needs with patience, kindness, and understanding. A home where she will finally be cherished and treated like the princess she truly is.
If you are seriously interested in adopting Ginger, please fill out an application here:

We will first consider adopters located in Washington, as this will be easier on Ginger and less challenging logistically — but we will absolutely consider out-of-state adopters as well.
Thank you for caring about Ginger and for helping us get her one step closer to the loving home she has always deserved. 💛

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

Please read carefully before applying. At Juno's Den, the priority is to find homes able, willing and committed to meet our dogs needs.

2.

Interview

If meeting our dog's needs requires to make sacrifices or modify your lifestyle or not all family members are on board, please do not apply.

3.

Home Check

Owning a home with a yard may be the best for some dogs. We don't base our decision on potential adopters having a yard. Depends on the dog.

4.

Approve Application

An approved application may or may not be for the dog you applied for if we believe there is a better match for your family.

5.

Sign Adoption Contract

6.

Pay Fee

Adoption fee is $550 + $150-$200 (transport fee)

7.

Take the Pet Home

We approved you to adopt one of our dogs. If for any reason you cannot keep our dog, any other potential adopter needs to be approved by us.

Additional adoption info

We require an official ID, at least 3 references and current/prospective veterinary information.

One of our requirements is to periodically be in contact after the adoption and throughout your dog's life.

Our process is very thorough and we do not offer meet and greets at this time.

If after reviewing your application, we believe one of our dogs is a good fit for your family, we will be in touch for an interview.

Thank you
