If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Squirt is an outdoor mouser! And he gets the job done! I have been fostering him for a neighbor that had to move out of state in a hurry. He planned on coming back for Squirt, but plans changed because of some health issues.
Squirt would be best as a barn cat, or allowed outside, with a warm safe place to come in. We leave our garage door cracked opened and he comes and goes at his leisure. In the evening, I put wet food in his bowl and he comes right in, so I can shut the garage door to keep him safe at night. He's very smart and has stayed alive with all the wildlife we have around our home.
He's about 7 or 8 years old.
He's sweet, but can be a little brat. He purrs and love pets, then sometimes he says that's enough! It will take time for him to trust someone new!
I hate to give him up, but I dog sit for a living and its becoming quite a chore.
He loves to jump the fence and go in the back with the dogs.
