My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Zeb, a striking male cattle dog with a resilient spirit and a heart that’s learning how to feel safe again

Zeb came from a background of abuse, and because of that, he’s looking for a calm, patient, and understanding home where he can continue to heal—both emotionally and physically. He is generally friendly and wants to connect, but he can be unsure in unfamiliar situations. In the past, he has snapped at a well-meaning stranger, so he’ll do best with someone who can read canine body language, respect his boundaries, and help him feel secure at his own pace.

Zeb also has some ongoing skin issues, but the good news is that they are improving with proper care and attention. With consistency and love, he’s already showing positive changes.

Once you’re part of Zeb’s trusted circle, he truly shines. He is a wonderful, playful companion who enjoys engagement, companionship, and having someone he can rely on. Zeb is loyal, intelligent, and deeply rewarding for the right person—someone who understands that dogs with tough pasts often become the most devoted friends.

If you have experience, patience, and a quiet home where Zeb can finally feel safe, you may just find an incredible bond waiting for you. ✨
