My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PLEASE NOTE: This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to Massachusetts shortly with no additional travel costs. Roughly 90% of our dogs are adopted prior to their transport up to MA and 10% are adopted locally.

Meet Burger! Burger is approximately 8 months old, 44 lbs currently and he might have some Malinois in his mix! Burger was found on the side of the road in rural Alabama. Burger is high energy and needs an active household. He could join households with other high energy and playful dogs and/or dog-savvy older kids. No cats, please!

His foster says, `Meet Mr. Burger! Mr. Burger is a smart, speedy, and seriously lovable young dog who’s ready to find his forever family. His story didn’t start out easy. He was found in early October after being hit by a car, just about six months old and far too skinny for such a growing boy. Today, you’d never guess that rough beginning, except for a few tiny scars on his face that simply add to his charm and resilience. This boy is wicked fast! When Mr. Burger runs, he practically flies. He leaps like a deer and would thrive in a home where he can stretch his long legs and burn off his happy energy. His favorite activities include playing fetch in his fully fenced yard (especially with his beloved Kong bone), proudly carrying around
sticks, and engaging in playful wrestling matches on the couch with his furry sister. Brains? Oh, he’s got them. Mr. Burger is exceptionally smart and eager to learn, picking up tricks quickly sometimes just by watching his sister perform them. With continued training, he would make an excellent working dog or an ideal companion for an active household that enjoys mental and daily physical enrichment. Motivation is key, and Mr. Burger is highly motivated by... animal crackers. There isn’t much he wouldn’t do for one unless, of course, it involves taking a bath. (Some boundaries are important.) Mr. Burger is energetic, affectionate, and full of life. He’s overcome a tough start and is now ready to pour his heart into a family that will love him as much as he deserves. If you’re looking for a clever, athletic, and endlessly entertaining companion, Mr. Burger just might be your perfect match.`

He is available for adoption in N Dartmouth January 30th or in February. Please fill out an application on our website at https://www.browndogcoalition.com/adoptable as a first step.
