Chowder—with his lovable hamster cheeks—is something of a sensitive soul. Chowder and his brother came to the shelter as a result of the other cats in their original home. These days, you may see him rolling around on the windowsill, sitting in a volunteer's lap, or playing with toys. (Foam balls and toys with buttons are supposedly his favorite, if you're curious). This sweet young guy was reportedly good with young children, cats, and dogs in the past, and though he has an independent streak, he has proven himself happy to come to us for love when he wants to cuddle. And he's not even a year old yet!
Chowder's future family should plan to be patient and slow with him during his decompression period. Those that do will reap the rewards of an all-around great kitty!
