My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Viktor Krum is 3 months old and a gentle, sweet boy who just needs a little time to feel safe. He can be shy in new situations, and if he gives a small hiss at first, it’s only a tiny, nervous sound while he adjusts—nothing more. Once he realizes he’s secure, he relaxes quickly and settles in.

Victor warms up faster than most shy kittens and is very easy to handle. If needed at first, being gently wrapped in a towel helps him feel secure, but you’ll soon find it isn’t necessary. Once he understands you’re there for affection, he’s happy to stay put for pets and cuddles.

He loves being cradled, enjoys belly rubs, and will stretch his arms overhead to offer his whole belly when he’s comfortable. Ear scratches are a favorite, and while he isn’t much of a purrer yet, his relaxed body language and trust say everything. He’s affectionate with a slightly independent streak, making him a lovely balance of cuddly and confident.

Victor would do wonderfully in a patient, loving home that gives him time to settle and feel secure. He is bonded with his brother Neville, who shares his gentle nature and would love to grow up alongside him.

I am available for adoption at PetSmart Rockwall located at 931 E Interstate 30, Rockwall, TX 75087. For more information about me, please email cats@frastx.org.

More about this rescue

Friends of Rescue Animals (FRAs) is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. FRAs was founded in 2004 by 4 volunteers who wanted to support the Rowlett Animal Shelter. Our organization has grown to over 300 volunteers, and with this growth, we now support four municipal shelters and operate our own cat rescue program.

Our mission is to provide resources, programs and education to promote adoption and care of homeless pets in our community. FRAs’ vision is a world where every companion animal has a safe and loving forever home. We are a 100% all volunteer run organization, and our ability to help homeless animals depends on donations from the community and grant funding.

Our organizational programs include operating the volunteer program for both shelters, providing funding for heartworm treatments and emergency medical care, accepting cats from the shelter and citizens into our foster-based cat rescue, supporting TNR/SNR efforts for community cats and most recently funding dog transport initiatives. Our volunteers spend thousands of hours socializing and marketing the animals for adoption, which increases the number of animals with a positive outcome. FRAs has helped countless pets avoid euthanasia, find their forever homes and live longer, healthier lives.
