Why I need a new home

Does not get along with other pet

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Seuss is a sweet, cuddly, playful boy with a big voice. He is 8 years old (birthday 9/16/2017) and 17 pounds. He currently eats Purina Pro Plan Weight Management dry food and we play fast a couple times a day with his favorite mouse-on-a-string toy to get him exercising.

I adopted him from the Escondido Humane Society on 11/19/25 and although I wish he could stay with us forever my resident cat is very antagonistic towards him. There were pictures of Seuss cuddling with another cat in his foster home from before the adoption so I believe he would get along with other cats. His prior home also had young kids and I believe he did well with them as well.

His medical records show no existing issues, he is up to date on shots, and we just had our vet give him a full dental cleaning.

Seuss can be shy at first, but after a short transition period he loves people and purrs loudly when cuddled.
