Halo is devastated by the loss of her mom and only home she has ever known since she was 8 weeks old. They had a close and loving bond, but Halo was surrendered due to difficult family and work circumstances. There is a lovely, sweet, adorable little girl in there, now being overshadowed by anxiety. We believe that with time and consistency, Halo will come around so her true, wonderful self can emerge. She does enjoy leash walks and rides nicely in the car.
Halo is a gorgeous, small, Shih Tzu girl, about 6 years old and 7-8 pounds. We are looking for a compassionate soul who is touched by Halo’s tragic story, who can open their heart and home to her. Halo needs a parent who is home most of the time and who does not have any other pets, (or maybe one, small, gentle dog), and no small children. Please consider giving Halo a second chance at the happy life she greatly wants and deserves, and put in an application today.
Please watch the video, at the end of the photos, to see Halo becoming more relaxed, with tail up, prancing in the yard, and receiving affection. At times, she still does not want to be picked up, and will let you know with a little nip, but that will likely change once she has her own new, loving and devoted parent.
