My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Patty’s Story and Ideal Home
Patty is a young, spirited cat who is eager to bring happiness and warmth to her future family. Despite entering the shelter with a viral infection that left permanent scars over her eyes, Patty remains resilient—she is still able to see and move around with confidence. Her playful nature shines through as she delights in chasing toys and exploring every nook and cranny with endless curiosity.
Patty has a knack for finding unconventional places to rest—her favorite spot to nap is the mop bucket (making sure it’s dry, of course!). Her days are filled with activity and exploration, but she dreams of finding a loving family with whom she can share her adventures.
Friendly and sociable, Patty enjoys meeting new people and is always ready for a game. She would be a wonderful companion for anyone seeking a joyful and affectionate pet who brings laughter and love into their home. Patty hopes to be adopted by a family who will appreciate her unique personality and share in the fun and companionship she offers. If you’re ready to welcome a loving cat into your life, Patty is the perfect match—adopt her and start your journey together!

More about this shelter

The Stone County SPCA was organized in 2009 and opened a shelter in 2012 in Wiggins, MS. We have always been a no kill shelter. Our biggest challenge is the high demand to place dogs and cats in our shelter. Currently, we take in approximately 1200 animals annually. We do not euthanize animals for lack of space. We have a live release rate of 95%. We do this by keeping adoption fees low and transporting a large percentage of our animals (65% of our dogs and puppies).
