My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mamas! This old lady loves the little things in life - a soft bed, good food, and snuggling with her favorite people. She's looking for a couch to call home for her golden years.

Mamas is an approximately 8 year-old mix who weighs about 67 lbs. She is friendly with all people and does fine with other dogs out and about, although she'd likely do best as the only dog in the home. She is house trained, crate trained, and does well a couple of short, leisurely walks per day. Otherwise, her favorite thing to do is nap!

If you're looking for a chill buddy to share some good times with, look not further than Mamas.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue dog! Whether you adopt from Rocket Dog or another rescue group, the fact is you will save a life. Adopting a rescued animal is a lifetime commitment! The first step in our adoption process is completing an adoption questionnaire here: https://www.rocketdogrescue.org/adopt/adoption-application/

From there, you will be contacted by a volunteer to talk more about what you're looking for and if the dog you're interested in might be a good fit.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

Our dogs live both in foster homes and at the Rocket Dog Sanctuary in Oakland. The best way to arrange a meeting for a specific dog is to fill out an adoption questionnaire on our website here: https://www.rocketdogrescue.org/adopt/adoption-application/

We have adoption events every weekend throughout the Bay Area, which you can see here - https://www.rocketdogrescue.org/events/
