My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

- HUGE snugglebug and sweetheart; loves anyone and everyone and loves cuddling on laps

- Foster family says he is the most gentle pup ever

- Did great with visitors in his foster home; including a larger group

- Loves treats and big stuffed animals that he can whip around

- Does great on a leash

- Working on learning sit and lay down in her foster home

- Can be nervous in the car, but is getting more and more confident each time

- Foster family says he doesn't quite understand jumping on furniture or climbing stairs, so he likes to bear crawl around

- Would likely enjoy a home with a fenced-in yard where he can run and use up his energy

- Foster family says he is not a fan of his kennel and is sad when they leave home, so may prefer a home where is family is around more often

- Foster family says he has done really well with potty training and has only had a few accidents in his time with them; they've noticed he tends to chug his water when it's in front of him, so they know to take him outside a little later

- Has interacted very well with the other dogs in his foster home and is gentle when playing with them, also knows how to tell when it's time to stop playing

All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)

The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
