Trevor is a very curious boy who loves to play with toys. He grew up in a home with an abundance of cats and minimal affection from humans outside of being fed.
He finds comfort in his brother Niko and safe places to lounge. He enjoys shoulder scratches and gentle pets. Sometimes fast movements or too much affection will over stimulate him. Niko loves to groom Trevor. Deep down they both want to be loved, but it will take a little time, patience, treats and playtime to get them to come out of their shells. They have similar personalities, Trevor is a little more open than Niko, but with time they should both be great companions. Niko will watch cautiously, but once he gets scratches behind his head, he relaxes. These kitties would do best as indoor only cats in a more quiet home that will give them the time and space to adjust to a new environment. They should have a large uncovered litter box so they have plenty of room to turn around in, sometimes they tip it if it's too small.
They both do well with other cats in the house, it's unknown how they respond to dogs, my expectation is that they will be afraid of them based on where they came from. When small children and unfamiliar people are around they tend to hide. Neither want to be carried and held, Trevor will sit in your lap and will rub against you when near, Niko is working on that. Trust will come in time. Both of these boys are pretty independent, they enjoy affection from us, but they are not overly needy. As long as these two have plenty of toys, hiding and climbing areas they will open up.
This pair would thrive best in a home that can be aware of body language and will know when to give affection & attention verse space and quiet time.
