My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Caesar, a 3-month old, 10-pound Heeler/Beagle mix with big puppy energy and an even bigger heart.

Caesar is the type of fella who goes with the flow…until his siblings start a party, and then he’s all in. He adores toys, stuffed animals, soft blankets, treats, and being pet. He also loves romping around with other puppies and/or playing any friendly human interested in engaging with him. Too curious to cuddle just yet, this little explorer is clearly saving his mushy side for when he finally powers down…and we are absolutely sure he’ll be super snuggly when that happens!

Not of the age to yet go outside, Caesar is looking forward to the time when he can walk on a leash and experience the great outdoors. He is crate trained, he seems very smart, he’s eager to learn, and his sweetness is totally intoxicating.

More gentle soul than trouble maker, Caesar isn’t the instigator but rather the sure-why-not guy who just wants to have fun and enjoy puppy life. In short, adorable, playful, and destined to be someone’s best sidekick!

More about this rescue

PupStarz Rescue is an animal welfare group committed to the rescue and rehabilitation of dogs and cats in public shelters at high risk of euthanasia, as well as those in danger of abuse. We are committed to rescuing as many animals as possible, saving over 4,500 dogs and cats since 2015.

PupStarz Rescue is a foster-based rescue, relying on fosters to open their homes and lives to our Animals. Animals in our care receive proper medical care, including alteration, vaccinations, and microchipping.

Following a thorough screening, our animals are placed in loving, responsible, committed forever homes. PupStarz Rescue ensures that adoptions are an appropriate match for both the animal and their new family by educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a furry companion into their lives.

We are committed to the welfare of our "Starz" beyond the adoption process. We maintain open communication with our adopters to ensure a smooth transition, and offer additional support such as positive training techniques.

Founded in 2015, PupStarz Rescue is a non-profit, 501(c)3, no-kill, animal rescue organization.
